Presented by JayzWayz Productions and hosted by Mike Deitering and Mike Bedford, the event was created to provide a space where local comedians, aspiring performers, and community members can come together to share laughs, develop their skills, and connect with others who enjoy comedy.
The evening begins with a comedy writing room from 6 PM to 8 PM. It’s a casual opportunity for comics and newcomers alike to work on material, bounce ideas off each other, and prepare for the open mic. Whether you’re actively performing or simply interested in learning more about comedy writing, everyone is welcome to join.
with performances beginning at 8 PM and running until 10 PM. So far we’ve seen a great mix of experienced comedians, first-time performers, and supportive audience members helping create a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
One of the reasons we wanted to launch this event was to create another affordable and accessible opportunity for people to get involved in the local arts community. Comedy can be intimidating, especially for someone stepping on stage for the first time, but we’ve been happy to see people encouraging one another and helping build a positive environment.
Like all events hosted at Archer’s Community Hub, this is an alcohol-free event focused on creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful space for everyone. We believe some of the best community experiences happen when people feel comfortable being themselves, trying something new, and supporting those around them.
As we head into our third week, we’d like to thank everyone who has come out so far. Whether you’ve taken the stage, joined the writing room, volunteered, or simply sat in the audience and laughed along, you’re helping build something that we hope continues to grow.
